Amplitude Equalization

In some cases, the amplitude responses of the practical filters may not match the amplitude response of the function. This is due to the component not being ideal. To avoid distortion while passing through the filter, Equalization should be done. Since, the magnitude response depends on unique Transfer function, the approximation equalized response can be found by the difference between the actual and expected response. It can be done by using curve fitting technique and using optimization stimulation applications.

A practical approach for passive filter is to use a cascade of simple networks. In such case, amplitude response can be easily adjusted by selecting component value in a way to match the cascade section with adjustment of required equalize response.
